KISS Kapow

KISS Kapow is a plasticized silicone engineered for use in firearms and firearm accessories. KISS Kapow works using a very simple principle, one that works at the molecular or nanotech level. Since the principle is so simple, it allows for many benefits without a lot of fuss and fretting.

Once applied, KISS Kapow changes the surface chemistry of the firearm in such a way that it reduces friction and keeps anything from sticking to the surface. Such a simple change in surface chemistry creates many benefits!

"Smooth as Silk"

Imagine the surface of your gun's working parts at the molecular level. Metal is not a smooth surface but has billions of tiny pits, blemishes and uneven surfaces. KISS Kapow will create a binding layer atop of the metal surface that will be much more smooth than the metal is normally. Since this binding layer is only 1 molecular layer thick, it will not change the tolerances of your firearm. However, it will create a smooth, non-stick surface which will allow parts to rub against one another with significantly reduced friction.

Imagine rubbing two pieces of sandpaper together- that would be a fair representation of what is occuring at the molecular level on an untreated firearm. Now imagine rubbing two pieces of fine silk against eachother. KISS Kapow creates the silk-like surface at the molecular level and allows surfaces to run across one another with a smooth ease.

Since surface friction is greatly reduced it means that the parts within the gun will move against one another with greater ease. This creates several changes for the better.

First, you will notice that your gun will operate with a crisp new smoothness. Your bolt or slide will cock with a refreshing simplicity that has been described as "...fluidic, like having your gun sigh in blissful anticipation every time you work the slide."

Since the friction is greatly reduced in the moving parts in your firearm, you will see a decline in wear and tear on your gun as well. Parts that normally would grind eachother down over time will see much smoother operation, reducing and possibly even stopping metal wear and fatigue.

The reduction of friction in the firearm's working mechanisms also will provide a reduction in heat generated during use! Since parts glide more easily against one another, heat created from that friction will be reduced and provide you with longer shooting times at the range and less fret of metal overheating and distempering from repeated use.

Any surface that is coated in KISS Kapow will see a reduction in friction! Magazine tend to stick? Coat it and it will be more inclined to slide free. Trigger assembly tend to gunk up? Coat it and those oils will be less likely to gather! Anywhere there is friction or oils, residues and buildups that stick, KISS Kapow can be applied.

KISS Kapow creates a non-stick surface within your firearm (thus the friction reduction). This non-stick surface has been tested against the world's strongest glues and has proven itself time and again. Since glues can be popped off of a KISS Kapow treated surface with ease, the buildup of grime in a firearm presents no challenge.

Whereas lead, oil, copper and other dirt would normally require a wire brush to grind away, KISS Kapow can prevent them from binding to the gun's surface so they can be easily wiped away. Troublesome buildup can be flaked off with a simple swatch or nylon brush without grinding down your gun's bore. Your firearm will come away clean in only a fraction of the time! This also applies to fingerprints left on the gun from handling and dirt gathered from the environment!

KISS Kapow is so non-stick that water will be repelled as well! Where water might normally gather inside of the firearm, KISS Kapow makes the surface "hydrophobic," or makes it slippery enough that water will bead off with normal use. This means that oxidation is greatly reduced to a point of near rust-proofing of even even the most common metals!

KISS Kapow will last the lifetime of the surface it is applied to.This means no time-consuming re-applications whenever the firearm is used and easy cleanup every single time. KISS Kapow will only "wear off" if the surface it is applied to has been ground away- meaning you only need to reapply a coating if your firearm has seen significant wear.

The application is where KISS Kapow really shines above the competition! There are no deadly chemicals to be applied or expensive heating devices or chemical baths needed. To apply KISS Kapow, it only needs to be wiped onto the surface! Application is so safe it can be done with a common household towel, a cleaning swatch or rag, or even the bare finger! Its that safe and non-toxic!

We offer KISS Kapow in either 1 gram, 3 gram or 8 gram packages. We recommend viewing the Application section of the FAQ before use though. Since KISS Kapow only requires a 1 molecule thick layer to work, it goes a very long way. A seasoned user can get 1 gram to coat over 1,200 square feet!
